Video: A quick look at the Smugglers Run ride experience in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Cast members and their guests have been testing Smugglers Run – the Millennium Falcon attraction – at Disneyland ahead of the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. As one might expect when members of the public are involved, someone broke the rules and took a quick video of the ride experience.

The following is a short six-second video that shows guests inside the cockpit during the ride. It’s difficult to determine what’s happening, but you can see quite a few laser blasts and hear some loud audio.

Note: The video below might be taken down by the original poster. It shows six seconds of footage from within the cockpit.

The origin of this video is just as unclear as the footage itself. It was reportedly posted on Instagram originally before it made its way to YouTube. Risking a video at this stage of the game was pretty silly considering full length videos will be available shortly after the land opens this month.

To date, early reviews of Smugglers Run have been extremely positive. Many have said that the queue is an attraction in itself, fully convincing riders that they really are boarding the Millennium Falcon. The overall thrill level of the ride has been compared to Star Tours, but it differs greatly in the fact guests will be asked to perform a variety of tasks to make sure their mission is a success.

Look for more review and videos to come after the land officially opens.
