You’ll be able to upgrade your MagicBand at a discounted rate at Walt Disney World

Disney has announced that annual passholders and guests staying at one of their many hotels will be able to upgrade their MagicBands at a discounted rate.

Currently, resort guests and annual passholders are able to order a complimentary MagicBand that’s one solid color – blue, red, orange, yellow, green, purple and pink. Now, guests can elect to upgrade for a $10 fee to a MagicBand that features one of their favorite characters.

This is a fun option for guests who want to pay a discounted rate to receive a MagicBand that has more than just a solid color. The discount comes in at $14.99 off per MagicBand, with the upgrade rate coming in at $10 compared to the regular price which sits at $24.99 per band.

It’s nice to see that the complimentary option is remaining in place even with this new option. This is one of those optional upcharges that no one should have an issue with as the current free selection is still in place. That’s a key point that we appreciate Disney maintaining.

Will you elect to upgrade during your next Walt Disney World vacation?
