Epcot’s main entrance has an outstanding new lighting feature. A new ribbon light has been installed around the perimeter of the main entrance area. The ribbon will pulse with either a blue light or a color gradient that gradually changes.
First, here’s the blue color mode just before sunset.

Next, and the real star of the show, is the color gradient that looks phenomenal at night.

And here’s a video offering a variety views of the new lights.
The new ribbon light accompanies new flags and a new background music loop that were also added today. Soon, a permanent lighting upgrade will be added to Spaceship Earth closer to Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary.
Disney nailed the update to Epcot’s main entrance. The ribbon light is a terrific addition that perfectly complements the new fountain and flags. We’re eagerly anticipating Spaceship Earth’s updated lighting to see how it complements the other changes.
