Guests visiting Walt Disney World may notice the many lightning rods that litter the buildings throughout Disney property. Orlando is home to frequent storms and lightning strikes, making lightning rods a necessity even in the highly themed areas of the parks.
That includes Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which received a wicked lightning strike that was captured on video. This short two-second video posted to Twitter shows off the strike.
There are just too many Palpatine jokes to choose from. Thankfully, no one appeared to be injured and the lightning rod appears to have served its purpose.
