Guests staying near Epcot were treated to a special surprise Monday night. Fireworks were tested at Epcot after the park closed, delighting those in the area. The test was likely for the park’s new nighttime show Harmonious that’s expected to debut in 2021.

Disney did not make an advanced announcement about the fireworks test. They will usually inform guests in the area of a test, but they likely didn’t want to attract a crowd given the current climate. The volume of fireworks used in the test appeared to be larger than previous tests.
Harmonious will combine fireworks, lights, fountains and screens to celebrate Disney music and characters around the world. An official opening date hasn’t been announced at this time.
