Testing for Epcot’s new nighttime show Harmonious continues in the center of World Showcase Lagoon. Guests visiting Epcot have seen the large barges testing their screens, movable arms and fountains. Recently, guests saw multiple arms moving and fountains spraying during an extensive test.
The video below offers some of the best looks of the moving pieces and fountains that will create Harmonious. NOTE: The video may take a second to load.

The ring barge and its moving arms look like something straight out of War of the Worlds, but we imagine it’ll look better at night with lights, fireworks and music.
There’s no question that Harmonious will be impressive on a technical level. The barges are massive and contain enough lighting, fountain and screen technology to amaze. But, we’re still conflicted on Disney’s decision to permanently dock the barges in World Showcase Lagoon. We hope the nighttime spectacular will justify the unflattering views seen the remainder of the day.
We also wish Disney would test the fountains and equipment out of the view of guests. The element of surprise is a lot of fun heading into a show’s debut, but we think a lot has been revealed prematurely.
Harmonious is currently expected to premiere at Epcot later in 2021.
