Video: 55 Disney Skyliner cabins unwrapped, opening date still scheduled for fall

The sky just got a lot more colorful at Walt Disney World! A total of 55 Disney Skyliner cabins have been unveiled near Disney’s Hollywood Studios, revealing bright colors and a ton of familiar characters.

The cabins are wrapped with designs featuring a wide variety of characters, including ones from Star Wars, Ratatouille, Guardians of the Galaxy, Finding Nemo and even ones inspired by attractions such as the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean.

In their announcement highlighting the unwrapped cabins, Disney reiterated that the scheduled opening is still planned for fall 2019. That opening window continues to feel a bit puzzling as work on the Disney Skyliner has progressed quite quickly in recent months and most would assume the project needs to be up and running long before Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens on August 29, 2019.

Stay tuned. While there’s still additional work and testing to do on some of the lines and stations, we wouldn’t be surprised to see guests traveling through the skies ahead of fall 2019.
