Trail’s End Restaurant located in The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort will be undergoing a transformation in the coming months.
Trail’s End, which used to be a buffet before shifting to a table-service model, will close for refurbishment in Spring 2023. When it reopens, it will take on a new quick-service model and will no longer offer table service or a buffet.
NEW: Trail’s End Restaurant at Fort Wilderness will close for refurbishment in the spring and reopen later this year as a marketplace concept with expanded quick service options. The table service option will no longer be offered.

Thankfully, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue won’t be impacted by these changes.
Years ago, Trail’s End was considered one of the more underrated restaurants at Walt Disney World. It offered a solid breakfast buffet for an affordable (by Disney standards) price. The location within Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground made it a bit tricky to access, but guests who made the trek usually walked away happy.
This change will be met with some mixed feelings from Disney fans. On the one hand, guests who loved Trail’s End (especially the old buffet) probably won’t make a point to eat at Fort Wilderness after this change unless they’re staying there. On the other, changing Trail’s End from a table-service restaurant to a marketplace with quick-service options might resonate more with a larger number of guests staying at the campsite and cabins.
