Supports for the TRON coaster are starting to be installed at the Magic Kingdom

The TRON coaster that’s going into Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom has gone vertical!

Guests are able to spot supports for the track going into place just off to the side of Space Mountain. You can catch a great view of the progress by taking a relaxing ride on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover. There’s also some good views of the construction along the walkway near the railroad track in Tomorrowland, which is where @thecouch snapped the photo featured here.

So far, only supports for the track have been installed. But, based on the current pace of construction, guests may be able to spot the track itself being installed in the very near future. Then, based on how an identical project progressed in Shanghai Disneyland, the completed track will be enclosed by a large show building.

This will be a fascinating project to follow. Unlike other Walt Disney World construction areas that are almost completely concealed from view, this one is easy to spot from guest locations. We can’t wait to see the rest of the track going into place.
