The exterior building is starting to go up around the TRON coaster at the Magic Kingdom

Updated:

We’ve had a fun time watching the track for the new TRON coaster at the Magic Kingdom rise up near Space Mountain over the last couple of months. Now, framing for the building that will house the attraction is starting to be installed.

You can spot the latest progress on the TRON coaster from several spots in the Magic Kingdom, including the PeopleMover.

The track has gone up rather quickly for the TRON coaster, but now progress should begin to slow some as work begins to enclose the ride. Installing the coaster track is fairly simple, like putting together a puzzle, while the lengthier part of the process involves the creation of the ride building and canopy.

We’d recommend taking photos while you can before the track is eventually concealed by the new building.

The TRON coaster is expected to open by 2021.
