The center of EPCOT has been a construction site for the better part of the last few years. World Celebration, which is basically the center spine of the old Future World, will eventually become an area with gardens and the new ComminiCore Hall.
For now, the area is mostly dirt with staged construction equipment. Shoutout to @bioreconstruct for this latest look.
First, here’s the straight-on view looking directly at Spaceship Earth. Disney’s plans call for Dreamer’s Point (a statue of Walt Disney) and gardens to fill this space.

Next, we can see another view of the area looking toward Connections Cafe and Eatery.

Shifting the view over toward World Nature and the new Journey of Water walk-through attraction, we can see work starting on the new CommuniCore Hall.

Finally, let’s take a look at some of Disney’s latest World Celebration concept art to see how the space should eventually look.

We’re a bit mixed on EPCOT’s revised plans (RIP Innoventions West and the Fountain of Nations), but we long for the day when EPCOT isn’t a sea of construction walls.
Disney has not announced an opening date for the new projects in World Celebration. We anticipate an update will be given during the D23 Expo 2022.
