Walt Disney Imagineering is already discussing plans to keep the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser an evolving experience. In an interview with Gizmodo, Walt Disney Imagineer Alex Lee spoke about how the story at the Galactic Starcruiser may change in the future to include holidays and events.
Lee was specifically asked about Life Day, the Wookiee holiday that is celebrated on Earth on November 17, and if it would be included in the Galactic Starcruiser story.
Lee:
“I think we’re going to start to see things happening organically as we begin to get closer to Life Day, and people playing hard into that, that we’re going to have the opportunity and our performers are going to have the opportunity to react to and kind of pick up on more and inject all of that into their storytelling. And then, of course, looking at opportunities down the line for formal events and what of those potential possibilities might come into play.”
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser has been praised for its storytelling that allows guests to live out their own Star Wars story. That story could be very different from one guest to the next depending on their encounters and interactions. It sounds like Disney may eventually want to shake up these stories some in the future, but it’s too early for any firm decisions.
