Space 220 restaurant will open in Fall 2021 in Epcot

The Space 220 restaurant finally has a new opening window in Epcot! A statement released by the Patina Restaurant Group indicates Space 220 will open in Fall 2021 at Walt Disney World.

The Patina Restaurant Group is currently hiring multiple positions for Space 220. The Fall 2021 opening window gives Space 220 time to find its staff and potentially roll their grand opening into Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration.

Space 220 has already faced plenty of adversity even before it opens. Construction originally started in 2018 ahead of an assumed 2019 opening. That was delayed to an expected February 2020 opening, which obviously didn’t happen. The Walt Disney World shutdown then pushed that date to the current Fall 2021 window.

According to previous announcements, Space 220 will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to Epcot guests. The menu was last reported to feature “modern American cuisine” after originally planning to serve items from around the globe. It’s unclear if Space 220 is sticking to those plans or moving in a new direction before opening.
