“Rivers of Light” at Animal Kingdom to be updated with Disney characters and music

Updated:

The “Rivers of Light” nighttime show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is about to experience an infusion of Disney characters and music. The updated show will be titled “Rivers of Light: We Are One” and will debut Memorial Day weekend 2019.

Disney’s announcement revealed that the show will add iconic characters and animals from both Disney animated films and Disneynature films. The music will combine the original score from the show with familiar Disney themes.

To date, the “Rivers of Light” show has received mixed reviews from guests. Following a myriad of technical issues prior to the show debuting, the final product has been viewed as a bit underwhelming. Most of the criticism comes from the show lacking a strong or memorable punch, but Disney believes that adding in familiar characters could assist in growing the show’s popularity.

Do you agree with the direction “Rivers of Light” is headed?
