New trees planted at the Epcot International Gateway

There’s a lot going on over at Epcot’s International Gateway. Construction on the new Disney Skyliner gondola station has transformed the area, with significant landscaping changes taking place around the canal.

Previously, a large chunk of trees were cut down during construction, leaving a very bare and sad landscape.

Thankfully, new trees have been planted in their place, though it will take time for them to grow and fill in.

Disney likely removed the large trees to make room for the gondolas that will pass by overheard, and then removed the remaining trees to maintain a consistent look. It’s nice to see new ones planted as the area looked awfully empty without any trees.
