New concept art and an opening window revealed for Roundup Rodeo BBQ Restaurant at Toy Story Land

Disney has released some new details about Roundup Rodeo BBQ Restaurant inside Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

We now know Disney is targeting a 2020 opening for the restaurant that will offer guests a variety of BBQ items in an immersive environment surrounded by Toy Story characters. A specific opening date hasn’t been announced at this time.

New concept art shows an overall view of the exterior of the Roundup Rodeo BBQ Restaurant. The dining location will sit just past Woody and the main entrance sign that welcomes guests into Toy Story Land.

It looks like Roundup Rodeo BBQ will have relatively light theming on the exterior, using a cardboard box design that’s mostly concealed by trees and bushes. We’re guessing Andy didn’t have a fancy western building lying around in his backyard.

Earlier concept art showed that the inside of the restaurant will have lots of theming, characters and bright colors.

As always, concept art is subject to change and the inside of Roundup Rodeo BBQ could look quite a bit different by the time it opens.

The opening window of 2020 caught us a bit by surprise as construction on the restaurant has just started ramping up. Land was just cleared in the area back in October and initial concrete pouring happened over the past month. We’d imagine Roundup Rodeo BBQ will have to open near the end of 2020 based on the current pace of construction.

Are you planning to check out this new dining location in Toy Story Land once it opens?
