Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is slowly shaping up at Epcot. Today, Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley revealed the new metal panels that will form the front of the attraction.
Disney is positioning the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind coaster as Epcot’s first “other-world” showcase pavilion. The old Universe of Energy building will have an intergalactic appearance using these new metal pieces.

Disney’s original concept art depicts a metallic entrance set behind a Xandarian ship. Work is currently focused on the roof and front portion of the building.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is scheduled to open in 2022. Disney hasn’t provided a specific date or timeframe yet, but one may be announced during D23 2021 later this month.
