Disney World’s Coronado Springs resort will have an entirely different look and feel when a new 15-story tower is completed and other resort enhancements wrap up. The tower and the overall enhancements being made at Coronado Springs are meant to entice more businesses and events to pick the resort as its meeting/convention space.
With construction progressing, here’s a quick look at the new areas coming to the resort.
The most dominant feature is the new 500-room tower, which will become the new hub for Coronado Springs.

The main lobby of the tower, seen below, should serve as the new check-in location for the resort.

In addition to the tower, Coronado Springs will also have a series of bridges to connect the various parts of the resort and an over-the-water restaurant. The boardwalk is already taking shape for this new addition.

So, what will Coronado Springs look like when all of the current work is completed? Very different than it used to look. Below is a short video showing renderings of the resort that’s been playing to guests visiting the resort.
Currently, the new tower is expected to open in the Summer of 2019. Based on the current pace of construction, Disney shouldn’t have any issue hitting that target barring any unexpected delays.
