Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will use a virtual queue system when it opens at Epcot later this month. The ride will also be available as an Individual Lightning Lane purchase, but it will not offer a traditional standby line when it opens.
The virtual queue system for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will match the one Rise of the Resistance used after it opened. Guests will need to be on their phone when the virtual queue opens to try and secure a boarding pass.
The boarding passes should/will book up within seconds, making the virtual que process feel like a random lottery. We complained about the virtual que system back in 2021 when the process to get on Rise of the Resistance felt like a massive headache. It doesn’t feel great to miss out on a boarding pass even when you do everything right.
As mentioned above, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will offer a paid Individual Lighting Lane option upon opening. This will require a separate cost that’s not included in the price of Genie+. That price hasn’t been announced yet, but we’d assume it’ll be at least $15 (if not higher) based on the price of other e-ticket attractions.
