Gideon’s Bakehouse has temporarily closed at Disney Springs after their initial soft opening on December 23, 2020. The announcement was made via their Instagram account and doesn’t mention when they plan to reopen.
Guests still hoping to enjoy a tasty cookie can visit their second location in Orlando’s East End Market.
To date, guests have experienced huge lines at the Disney Springs Gideon’s location. Waits have exceeded three hours and a virtual queue has been set up to handle the huge demand.
The temporary closure has caught some by surprise as it sounded like the soft opening would roll straight into the official opening. Hopefully Gideon’s Bakehouse will reopen and be back serving up delicious desserts soon.
