Fountains Added in Sleeping Beauty Castle Moat at Disneyland

The moat around Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle has received a bit of an upgrade for The Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary. Fountains have been added on each side of the drawbridge in front of the Castle, adding some nice kinetic energy to the area.

The fountains were added back in January, but were just now turned on.

In addition to the fountains, Disney has added some new touches to Sleeping Beauty Castle itself. Banners and bunting celebrating the 100th anniversary have been added, in addition to three Good Fairies sculptures.

Guests visiting Disneyland Resort will spot bunting, signs and oversized medallions celebrating the 100th. The celebration officially begins on January 27, 2023 at Disneyland Resort, and will include a new fireworks show (Wondrous Journeys), a new World of Color show (World of Color – ONE), and a new attraction in Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
