Disney announced last year that EPCOT’s nighttime spectacular Harmonious was going away and would be replaced by a new show in 2023. They later confirmed the massive barges for Harmonious would also be going away, and now Disney has announced a couple details about the new show.
The new untitled nighttime spectacular at EPCOT will have music, fireworks, lasers, and lights. Here’s a first look at the show’s concept art.

Plus, a new nighttime spectacular will debut at EPCOT later this year, inviting everyone to gather around World Showcase Lagoon for a show that will unite us through commonalities of the heart in a dazzling display of fireworks, lasers, music and light. Featuring an original composition along with select songs from the Disney songbook, this new spectacular will remind us that we’re more alike than different, connecting our hearts together as one.
The description for the new EPCOT show sounds a lot like the one Disney currently uses for Harmonious.

Is the new show Harmonious 2.0 minus the giant barges?
The vague language, and the vague concept art, suggests the new show for EPCOT is still in development. However, it’s worth noting that one rumored element for EPCOT’s new show – drones – are very much missing from the concept art and initial description. It’s possible this widely-discussed element has been removed, or hasn’t been finalized, for the new show.
Harmonious will end its run at EPCOT on April 2, 2023. EPCOT Forever, the previous show Disney used to bridge the gap between Illuminations: Reflections of Earth and Harmonious, will return until the new show is ready.
