The torches that surround Epcot’s World Showcase Lagoon will have a future with Harmonious. Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley has confirmed that the torches will be a part of Epcot’s new nighttime spectacular.

Riddley noted that the torches are a core part of the spectacular experience each night at Epcot. It remains to be seen how they’re incorporated into Harmonious when it debuts on October 1, 2021.
There’s something truly special about walking around World Showcase Lagoon when the torches are lit. It creates the perfect nighttime atmosphere. We also loved seeing them lit during an early morning runDisney half marathon. It was just the bit of inspiration we needed to push for the finish line.
We’re glad Disney is retaining this element and we hope it remains a permanent feature of World Showcase.
