Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon finally has a reopening date! The Walt Disney World water park will welcome guests back on January 2, 2022 for the first time since early 2020. Disney initially staged the water park for guests before Christmas, indicating the reopening was near.
Disney’s announcement about the reopening highlighted the fun activities and new menu items. The most popular of these will likely be the custom DOLE whip, which allows guests to mix and match mango, pineapple, lime and raspberry.
Also returning is the unique surfing programs that take place before the park opens. Guests can book a private lesson that’s held in the massive wave pool.
The reopening of Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon comes as Disney’s Blizzard Beach goes down for its annual refurbishment. Disney’s Blizzard Beach will close on January 2, 2022. A reopening date hasn’t been announced at this time.
