Disney World improves their Lost and Found process

Disney has announced a new change that aims to improve the guest experience when they lose an item at Disney World.

As seen on the Disney Parks Blog, guests will now be able to use an online tool in the event they misplace an item at a Disney park, water park, Disney Springs, Wide World of Sports or on Disney transportation. After filling out the online form, Disney will keep the guest updated about the hunt for their item via email.

Previously, reporting a lost item usually meant a phone call or a trip to Guest Services. After reporting an item was missing, there wasn’t a defined communication plan in place. Now, Disney hopes to change that with a more organized process.

There have been some incredible stories over the years of toys being found and returned – along with some fun adventures the toys had while they were missing. Unfortunately, there’s probably far more stories of children not being reunited with their misplaced toys. Hopefully this new process will allow more guests to be reunited with their items more quickly.
