Walt Disney World is gearing up for the opening weekend of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Resorts are beginning to announce extended dining hours at select locations for guests planning to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge when Disney’s Hollywood Studios opens at 6am.
Pop Century was one of the first to announce extended dining hours at its Everything POP Shopping and Dining location. A sign placed in the lobby announced some extremely early operating hours.
Pop Century’s quick service location will open at 2:30am on August 29, the opening day of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and will open at 3:30am throughout Labor Day weekend. These early hours are to accommodate guests planning to line up extra early to be among the first to visit the planet of Batuu.
Based on this announcement, we can assume similar signs will start showing up at other resorts as the week progresses. We’d recommend asking cast members at your resort which dining location will be open if you’re planning on an early morning in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Opening weekend for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World promises to be quite the spectacle. Unlike the light crowds seen during Disneyland’s launch, Walt Disney World’s opening should draw huge crowds that may have to endure some rainy weather to experience their own Star Wars story.
