Guests buying Disney Genie+ at Walt Disney World were met with a record-high price on Saturday. The price of Genie+ hit $22 per guest (plus tax) on October 15, 2022, climbing above the old set price of $15 per guest.
Earlier this week it was announced that the price of Genie+ would vary by day, and would no longer be a set cost. Guests wanting to see the price on a given day have to wait until the morning of their visit. Disney can adjust the price any day to meet their objectives, whether it’s to manage purchases or increase revenue.
Now that Genie+ has hit $22 per guest in October, inquiring minds wonder what price it might hit during the upcoming holiday season. Prices could easily exceed $22 once the enormous holiday crowds arrive in Walt Disney World. The price may also sink below $22 on slower days.
Disney Genie+ is the premium service that allows guests to use the Lightning Lane for select attractions. Guests are able to book Lightning Lane reservations throughout the day and experience reduced waits. The service debuted in Walt Disney World in October 2021 and replaced the old FastPass+ system.
