Disney Cruise Line cancels all May 2021 itineraries, cancels Disney Magic trips through August 10, 2021

Disney Cruise Line has announced another round of cancellations. All May 2021 itineraries have been officially cancelled and the Disney Magic’s sailings have been suspended through August 10, 2021.

Below is the announcement on sailings through May 2021, as seen on Disney Cruise Line’s website.

“Our team at Disney Cruise Line remains focused on the health and well-being of our Guests and team members. We are carefully preparing for a return to service following the guidelines issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

As we continue to refine our protocols and await further technical guidance from the CDC, we are cancelling all sailings departing through May 2021.”

The cancellation of May 2021 trips comes roughly two weeks after the sailings were removed from Disney Cruise Line’s website. This follows Disney’s pattern of removing bookable trips before making the official decision.

Meanwhile, the Disney Magic’s schedule has been postponed further due to international travel.

“Given the likelihood of international borders remaining closed for an extended period of time, we have also made the decision to cancel Disney Magic sailings through August 10, 2021.”

As with every Disney Cruise Line cancellation, all impacted guests can elect to receive a full refund or a 125% credit for a future cruise.

Disney Cruise Line is working with the CDC in an effort to safely resume sailing. It’s unclear when they’ll be able to welcome back guests, but if we had to make an educated guess, we’d expect other cruise companies to sail with guests first.
