Disney Confirms End Date for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration

Disney has officially announced an ending date for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration. The Walt Disney World website has been updated to say the 50th celebration will end on March 31, 2023.

Here’s a screenshot from the website:

March 31, 2023 has been the expected ending date for the 50th anniversary celebration, but this is the first time we’ve seen Disney confirm the date.

Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration started back on October 1, 2021. That means the full anniversary celebration will last 18 months, which matches Disney’s original announcement.

While we know an ending date, we don’t know how Disney will phase out the 50th-related offerings. Merchandise and special food items should wrap on March 31, if not prior. The decorations on Cinderella Castle are a bit more complicated, and it’s unclear when they’ll come down. It remains to be seen if Disney will keep the pink/salmon paint scheme.

Disney Enchantment, the current Magic Kingdom nighttime spectacular, recently had a 50th anniversary intro added to the front of the show. We imagine Disney Enchantment isn’t long for this world – even with the new intro – due to poor guest feedback.
