Construction progressing on the NBA Experience at Disney Springs

The location of the old Disney Quest building at Disney Springs is looking a lot different these days. Located on the West Side of Disney Springs, the site will serve as the home to the new NBA Experience beginning in the summer of 2019.

Most of the work to date has involved removing the old Disney Quest building and preparing the site for construction, but now vertical steel beams are starting to form the shape of the new building.

The photo above and below, courtesy of @bioreconstruct, show how work is progressing on the building that will drastically alter the Disney Springs landscape.

Once its completed, the building housing the NBA Experience at Disney Springs will architecturally resemble some of the arenas around the NBA. NBA Experience will be a ticketed experience where guests will reportedly enjoy exhibits, games and more. The building will also have a retail and dining location that won’t require a ticket.

Below is the concept art for NBA Experience.
