BoardWalk Ice Cream is replacing Ample Hills at Disney’s BoardWalk

A new ice cream location at Disney’s BoardWalk is about to open! BoardWalk Ice Cream will take the place of the old Ample Hills and offer frozen treats to guests in the Epcot Resort Area.

Set to open May 20, 2021, BoardWalk Ice Cream will offer a variety of menu items that are inspired by the nearby Beaches & Cream Soda Shop.

Here’s Disney’s description of the BoardWalk Ice Cream shop.

Bring your sweet tooth to this “cool” ice cream parlor located at Disney’s BoardWalk, featuring ice cream and sundaes to go. Enjoy menu items such as the Shore-Side Sundae with SNICKERS®, Bay-Side Brownie a la Mode and the Strawberry Splash Shortcake—all inspired by Beaches & Cream Soda Shop.

The menu posted for the BoardWalk Ice Cream shop sounds fairly limited at this time, but it’s possible the full list of flavors will be added at a later date. You can view the full menu below as it appears on May 20, 2021.

This spot has been sitting empty ever since Ample Hills failed to reopen with Walt Disney World in July 2020. BoardWalk Ice Cream will help fill the void left behind and serve as an extension of the very popular Beaches & Cream Soda Shop.
