An updated look at the new paint on Cinderella Castle

Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom began its royal transformation in March before the Walt Disney World theme parks temporarily closed. Work continued for a period after the parks closed to guests, but then construction projects were halted due to worker safety.

Thanks to some new aerial images of the Magic Kingdom, we can see how the project has progressed prior to the construction pause.

The darker blue paint can already be seen on a majority of the castle’s turrets. Meanwhile, the new pink color has only be applied to a few sections as of the date of this aerial photo.

You can see how drastically different the pink color is when zooming in a bit closer.

There’s still quite a bit of work to be completed before Cinderella Castle’s transformation is complete. The initial timeline called for the project to be done in Summer 2020, but that has obviously been delayed indefinitely due to the current closures.
