Video: Time-lapse footage of construction on the Guardians of the Galaxy ride at Epcot

Updated:

Future World in Epcot will soon be home to a new Guardians of the Galaxy coaster that will take over the Universe of Energy building. Though the new attraction will use the old Universe of Energy building, it also requires a brand new building that is currently being built just behind the Universe of Energy.

Disney released a new time-lapse video that shows the insane amount of concrete that has been poured to create the foundation of the ride building.

That’s a lot of concrete.

Details surrounding the Guardians of the Galaxy ride are fairly limited. Currently, we know it will be a coaster that’s tabbed as “one of the largest indoor coasters” in the world. Beyond that, it’s assumed the ride will have some kind of innovative feature(s) and it may resemble the Escape from Gringotts ride over at Universal Studios.

Hopefully Disney continues to highlight the construction progress on this ride in future videos.
