Disneyland has hit pause on all new Magic Key annual pass sales. While Magic Key renewals are still available, new purchases for all four tiers are unavailable at this time. Disney has not said when new purchases will reopen.
The notice posted on the Magic Key page invites guests to sign up to be notified when passes go on sale again.
This continues the trend of Disneyland starting and stopping Magic Key sales. The Believe and Inspire Key passes went on sale again in May after all tiers were halted in April. Various Magic Key levels have gone on sale sporadically over the last few years, with windows opening a few times each year.
Disney continues to limit the number of passes sold in an effort to manage crowds at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. The limited number of passes sold, combined with the blackout dates for every Magic Key tier, helps ensure guests with traditional tickets can access the park during peak times.
Did you miss out on your chance to buy a Magic Key pass? It’s possible passes will go on sale again later this year based on recent history. We saw all passes go on sale again last year in November, but they were only available for a limited time.
