Critter Country at Disneyland Park is closing temporarily beginning May 1, 2024. The area is closing as Disney finishes Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, rethemes shops, and updates guest pathways.
Disney created a new page on the Disneyland website explaining the changes during the temporary closure. A reopening date wasn’t announced at this time. Highlights can be found below:
- Work is continuing on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. No official opening date has been announced.
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction will be closed while work is performed in the land.
- The Briar Patch shop will be rethemed into a new store called Ray’s Berets.
- Pooh Corner shop will be split into two with one side becoming Louis’ Critter Club and the other side remaining a home for all things Winnie the Pooh.
- Hungry Bear Restaurant will remain open while Critter Country is closed and can be accessed via Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
It’s possible we’ll see some walkway and landscaping changes while Critter Country is closed, but we believe the majority of that work will take place in New Orleans Square.
