Avengers Ride Vehicle Confirmed for Disney California Adventure

Remember the E-ticket Avengers ride that Disney announced for Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure all the way back in 2022? Apparently, the ride is still planned for the park based on new information coming out of D23 2024.

Guests visiting the D23 2024 Expo can see a model of the ride vehicle that will take guests up against King Thanos in a Multiverse-style attraction. The ride vehicle model matches previously-released concept art, and might look pretty familiar to some guests.

The ride vehicle, which some may recognize as a “scoop” vehicle, is very similar to the ones used at the Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure attraction in Tokyo DisneySea. That ride in Tokyo uses 3D and screens to take guests on an adventure with Peter Pan, and while that may be the case with this new Avengers ride, Disney has said “large-scale built environments” will be part of this experience.

Here’s the ride vehicle as seen in concept art back in 2023.

We also have to point out that this Avengers ride vehicle is very similar to the one used at The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man at Universal Islands of Adventure. That attraction, which opened in 1999, still holds up well and many guests would probably be thrilled if the Avengers ride is a modernized version of that Spider-Man attraction.
