Disney Cruise Line’s newest tropical destination, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, is quickly taking shape. The Disney Parks Blog shared a first look at the construction of the cabanas, pavilion, and tram stop that guests will experience when they first visit in June 2024.
Let’s first take a look at the colorful cabanas that will line the shore of Lookout Cay.
Disney is calling these the Mabrika Cove Cabanas, and they’ll be available to rent for families. There’s still a lot of work to do around the cabanas, specifically with landscaping, but things are looking good. Will these cabanas be as memorable as our beloved Castaway Cay cabanas?
Next, Disney shared a look at one of the pavilions on Lookout Cay.
This pavilion will be the home of True-True Too BBQ, which sounds like it will be the equivalent of Cookies BBQ on Castaway Cay. The menu may differ some, but it’s safe to assume many of the Cookies BBQ staples (burgers, hot dogs, etc) will be served at True-True Too BBQ.
How long will it take before guests shorten the name of True-True Too BBQ? We’re guessing immediately.
Finally, here’s a look at a tram stop on Disney Lookout Cay.
Disney notes that a lot of color will be added to this area, so no need to worry about how bland it appears in the picture above.
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point has a long way to go before it’s ready for guests to arrive in June. Once completed, Lookout Cay will offer an additional tropical destination for Disney in the Bahamas that aims to build off the success of Castaway Cay.
Will Lookout Cay capture the same vibe and feel Disney Cruise Line guests love about Castaway Cay? We’ll find out starting this summer.
