Disney Cruise Line receives strong scores from the CDC for sanitation

Disney Cruise Line is known for its exceptional service, amazing entertainment and beautiful destinations. According to recent surprise inspections by the CDC, you can add high levels of cleanliness to that strong list of accolades.

The CDC performs surprise inspections on all cruise ships in an effort to prevent the spread of various illnesses. Each ship is assigned an inspection score (higher scores are better) and instructed where they can improve.

Below are the three most recent scores (as of the date of this article) for each of the four current Disney Cruise Line ships. A score of 100 is the best and any scores of 85 or lower are considered not satisfactory.

Disney Dream
11/29/19 – 100
8/17/18 – 100
4/9/18 – 100

Disney Fantasy
3/30/19 – 94
9/22/18 – 100
7/22/17 – 99

Disney Magic
2/8/19 – 96
10/21/17 – 100
2/17/17 – 100

Disney Wonder
10/20/19 – 100
12/7/18 – 100
2/4/18 – 97

It shouldn’t be a surprise that Disney Cruise Line excels in this category. If you’ve taken a Disney cruise, you know how hard all of the cast members work to keep things running smoothly. The crew is constantly cleaning and working to keep the ship looking its best. We can personally vouch for their amazing work ethic as we witnessed crew members cleaning, painting and performing all kinds of general maintenance at all hours of the day and night. It’s honestly quite remarkable.

You can visit the CDC’s website to view all of the scores for Disney Cruise Line and scores for ships under other companies.
