Disney Cruise Line Bringing a New Ship to Japan

Disney Cruise Line is partnering with Oriental Land Company (OLC) to bring a new cruise ship to Japan. The new agreement, which was announced by the Disney Parks Blog, will bring a brand new cruise ship for voyages to take place beginning in 2029.

This new addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet will be a sister ship to the Disney Wish. That means the ship will have a similar layout to the Disney Wish, but will be themed to properties that are popular to the Japanese market.

Perhaps the most exciting part of this project is the involvement of the Oriental Land Company. OLC operates Tokyo Disney, which is widely considered to be the best of all the Disney theme park resorts. The best Disney theming in the world can be found at Tokyo DisneySea. We can assume that high quality will be brought to the new unnamed ship.

Disney Cruise Line’s fleet will expand to nine ships with the launch of this ship in 2029.
