Disney Genie+ prices have surged as spring break crowds have flooded Walt Disney World. The Multiple Parks and Magic Kingdom price for Genie+ hit $39 per guests this week, which matches the previous all-time high price.
Despite the higher prices, Genie+ continues to sell out at Walt Disney World. The Multiple Parks, Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios options all sold out on March 26. This was the first time Genie+ sold out at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2024.
Disney Genie+ continues to be a polarizing topic at Disney’s parks. Many guests believe it’s a requirement for a successful parks trip, but the true value of Genie+ is difficult to measure on a guest-to-guest basis. Genie+ requires lots of attention and planning to make the most of it, and that’s not the most fun.
Should Disney significantly increase the price of Genie+? It’s an idea we’ve discussed. The more people who use Genie +, the less value it has for the guests. Jacking up the price in a big way (like Universal does for its somewhat comparable Express Pass) might make the Genie+ experience better – although through a painful price hike.
Will Genie+ crack the $40 barrier soon at Walt Disney World? It certainly seems possible now that the $39 price point has been hit during two separate busy spells – the 2023 Holidays and Spring Break 2024.
