Do you have to pay for FastPass reservations at Disney World?

Updated:

The Disney FastPass+ service allows guests to skip the majority of the line when visiting attractions around Walt Disney World. What does it cost to book a FastPass? Currently, the FastPass service is included at no additional charge with the purchase of your theme park ticket. Guests may book three selections at a specific park for each day of their ticket.

When you purchase a theme park ticket, you may book your FastPass selections up to 30 days before the date of your visit. Guests who are staying at a Disney World Resort, or a partnered resort, may book their selections up to 60 days prior to the date of their visit.

The FastPass system is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, meaning guests should try to make their selections as soon as their window to book opens. FastPasses go extremely quickly for the most popular attractions, but guests should keep checking back as sometimes additional passes are made available.

Guests should also note that there may be specific stipulations at the different theme parks. For example, Epcot uses a tier-based system that separates the rides so that guests may only use a FastPass on one Tier 1 ride, which includes attractions such as Frozen Ever After, Test Track and Soarin’ Around the World. As a result, we have put together an Epcot FastPass Strategy Guide so you can visit the most popular attractions during a day at the park.

At Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, a similar system is used that separates the most popular rides. Guests may only book one selection at Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios and one selection at Pandora: The World of Avatar.

What happens after you’ve used all of your FastPass selections while you’re at the park? If you’re using the My Disney Experience app on your phone, or if you’re near a kiosk, you can book a fourth experience from what’s currently available. After using that one, you can then book a fifth and so on.
