X-Men ’97 is an outstanding new series on Disney+ that continues the story of the old X-Men cartoon from the 1990s. The show has been an overwhelming success, and has represented a big shift in Marvel animated storytelling. Can we all agree the live action X-Men movies treated Cyclops terribly? They made him a chump! Thankfully, the leader of the X-Men has regained his awesome form in X-Men ’97. And, now he’s on some pretty fun retro merch.

We think X-Men ’97 is the best Marvel content that has been released in the past several years. The show isn’t just leaning on nostalgia. While it definitely has nods to the past, X-Men ’97 is an animated show with adult themes and messages. The writing has been fantastic. We sincerely hope X-Men ’97 receives the love it deserves and grows with a second season.
