Rumor: Another update may be coming to Rivers of Light at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Updated:

It sounds like more changes could be coming to the Rivers of Light nighttime show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The show will reportedly be reworked once again in the near future as Disney continues to try to find the right formula to entertain guests.

The report comes from trusted insider Martin Smith, who states that a rework is coming down the pipeline.

Expect another reworking in the near-ish future.

This marks yet another chapter in the troubled history of the River of Lights show. Technical problems marred the original version of the show and subsequent edits, including the removal of live actors and the later addition of Disney characters and music, have failed to turn Rivers of Light into a must-see show.

Details regarding what the next change could include as well as when any changes might happen weren’t discussed. An easy target for improvement would be the show’s ending, which as of the date of this article lacks any kind of final punch that makes it clear to the viewer that they just witnessed the finale. That’s a tricky problem to solve seeing as Rivers of Light can’t lean on a barrage of fireworks to wrap up their show.

Let’s hope the next wave of updates rounds Rivers of Light into a show that’s worth sticking around for at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
