Walt Disney World parks will close early on September 3, 2019 due to Hurricane Dorian

Walt Disney World will close its theme parks early on Tuesday, September 3rd as Hurricane Dorian begins to impact the area. Disney announced the changes on September 2 in a statement confirming their commitment to guest and cast member safety.

Magic Kingdom: Closes at 3pm
Epcot: Closes at 7pm
Hollywood Studios: Closes at 2pm
Animal Kingdom: Closes at 2pm
Disney Springs: Closes at 8pm
Typhoon Lagoon: Closes at 3pm
Blizzard Beach: Closed
ESPN Wide World of Spots: Closed
Miniature Golf: Closes at 3pm

The Disney After Hours event at Disney’s Animal Kingdom that was scheduled for September 3 has been cancelled. Guests who purchased a ticket for the September 3 After Hours event will be given a refund or they will be allowed to transfer their ticket for a future After Hours event or a holiday party at the Magic Kingdom.

Dining reservations will still be honored for up to one hour before the scheduled park closing. No cancellation penalties will be enforced due to the early closures. Pre-paid dining experiences will be automatically refunded.

No announcements have been made regarding the operating status of the theme parks past September 3.
