Merchandise is about to get a little bit more affordable for Walt Disney World annual passholders. Disney has announced that current annual passholders will see their discount on merchandise increase from 20% to 30% between September 14, 2022 and October 14, 2022.
The one-month expanded discount will be valid at all Disney owned and operated merchandise locations. Disney also announced annual passholders can save up to 25% at select Disney resorts this upcoming holiday season.
The increased merch discount, while brief, is a welcome improvement for annual passholders. Disney appears to be making a push to keep current annual passholders renewing while they continue to work on a revamped annual pass system.
New annual passes are currently unavailable at Walt Disney World. The same was true at Disneyland until a modified Magic Key annual pass system returned in August. That return saw blockout dates added to all annual pass levels.
Are similar changes in store for Walt Disney World’s annual passes? We’ll have to enjoy some increased merch discounts until we find out.
