A very small fire created a lot of excitement at the Magic Kingdom tonight. The small fire was in the mulch area near the moat around Cinderella Castle, and was quickly put out with a fire extinguisher.
One guest caught some of the smoke near Cinderella Castle on video. Look just to the left of Cinderella Castle.

Emergency vehicles were called to the scene, which created the bizarre sight of seeing them on Main Street USA. Guests were understandably confused.
You ever seen a fire truck and ambulances make their way down main street USA? Because uh… #wow #disney #disneyworld #magickingdom pic.twitter.com/GlCUw11yPB

Thankfully, no one was hurt. A security guard was treated after inhaling fumes from the fire extinguisher, but is OK.
Update: A security guard was treated and transported (non-emergency transport) after inhaling fumes from the fire extinguisher.

After everyone realized this was a minor incident, Disney fans wasted little time having some fun with the situation. Like turning the video of emergency vehicles into the Magic Kingdom’s new nighttime parade!

It’s unclear what started the fire at this time. A stray ember or firework is the most likely suspect, but that hasn’t been confirmed. However, this isn’t the first time fire crews had to rush into the Magic Kingdom. Remember when the top of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train caught fire in 2014?
Let’s be thankful everyone is safe and nothing was seriously damaged.
