Video: Epcot’s July 4th Fireworks Finale

Walt Disney World regularly hosts some of the best fireworks shows you’ll ever see. That’s especially true for July 4th when the Magic Kingdom and Epcot put on some truly amazing fireworks shows.

July 4th, 2019 saw Epcot deploy its “Heartbeat of Freedom” tag after Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. The finale of the “Heartbeat of Freedom” tag is something that must be seen to be believed.

We tried our best to capture the insanity that is the final 20 seconds of Epcot’s July 4th show. As you’ll hear, it’s difficult for people to contain their excitement and disbelief.

Insane, right? Note the 12-secondish mark where a huge wave of fireworks shoots up from the top of the American Adventure Pavilion. It’s easy to miss with everything that’s going on.

This short clip was taken in World Showcase Plaza, the area that connects World Showcase to Future World. We waited for about an hour and a half to secure this spot, which wasn’t too bad, in the area that’s usually used as the FastPass+ area for the regular Illuminations: Reflections of Earth shows.

As crazy as the video is, seeing this spectacle in person was bonkers. The sound was deafening and the explosions of the fireworks could be felt in your chest. It was as awesome as it was sort of terrifying.

So, would we recommend trying to see the fireworks at Epcot for July 4th? Absolutely!
