Annual passholders will see a new effect when they scan into a Walt Disney World theme park. Disney has updated the tapstiles to make a new sound and light up with purple colors when annual passholders scan in.

The tapstiles are capable of displaying unique colors and sounds that are usually programmed for specific MagicBands. For example, some Star Wars MagicBands will make the tapstile light up red and make Darth Vader sounds. Here, the effects play for any guest that has an annual pass.
This is a fun detail that we’d like to see change regularly for annual passholders. Maybe a new color/chime each year?
