Scrims remain up around the waterfall and rocks at Epcot’s Canada Pavilion

Guests visiting Epcot over the last several weeks have noticed a huge amount of scrim and scaffolding around the outside of the Canada Pavilion. A significant refurbishment project is underway on the waterfall and rocks that are the focal point of the Canada Pavilion and the walkway to the “O Canada!” theater.

WDWTraveler posted a couple outstanding photos showing the project. First, here’s a look at the Pavilion’s upper level that usually offers a beautiful and peaceful view.

The waterfall is understandably turned off during the refurbishment project, which makes the area feel pretty strange and quiet. The waterfall adds a lot to the area and goes a long way in making the Canada Pavilion one of the most picturesque areas in Epcot.

Guests walking to see “O Canada!” will come pretty close to the scrims.

There’s no indication how long this current refurbishment is expected to take. Hopefully it will wrap up soon and one of the most underappreciated and overlooked areas of World Showcase will be back to its original glory.
