The Walt Disney World Railroad is another step closer to reopening at the Magic Kingdom. Construction crews have added a roof to the tunnel that will allow the train to pass beneath the canopy of TRON Lightcycle Run.
We can thank @bioreconstruct for the latest photos showing the tunnel’s roof.

We can compare these current views from our update in April 2022 to see how far the tunnel has come in just a month. At that time the tunnel was just some concrete forms. Now, the tunnel looks more like a tunnel that’s almost ready for a train.
It certainly seems like Disney has sped up the construction of TRON Lightcycle Run. That’s great news for TRON opening in the relative future, of course, but also for fans of the Walt Disney World Railroad. The train should resume running as soon as the track work is complete and TRON’s exterior construction wraps up.
